Louie Rankin, popular Grammy-award winning reggae artist, most famous for his role as Teddy Bruckshot in the movie ‘Shottas’, is dead .
According to TMZ, the rapper cum actor was involved in an auto accident which involved a transport truck and another vehicle ,on Monday September 30, in Ontario Canada.
Further details about the crash are yet to emerge but he is believed to have died from injuries sustained in the accident.
Louie Rankin, born in Kingston Jamaica worked with stars such as DJ Khalid and DMX.
He was best known for his role as Ox in the 1998 crime drama Belly when he starred with fellow actors Nas and DMX.

Louie Rankin won a Grammy award in 1992 for his track, ‘Typewriter’ which was a hit, as well as appearing in movies such as Shottas, in 2002, and We Run These Streets, in 2014.

He was aged 66.
