Thai Cave rescuers have saved a baby from drowning at a collapsed dam in Laos. The baby boy who was terrified and had gone days without food was seen carried by rescuers through waist-high flood and mud.
A video of the rescue went viral after it was revealed that the volunteers were the same rescuers who helped save the Soccer team that was stranded in a cave earlier this month.
The cave rescuers helped 14 survivors who had fled up a hill to avoid drowning after the Xe-Namnoy dam broke under heavy rain, leaving several villages destroyed.
The rescue team swirled through several kilometers of flood water containing uprooted trees and debris. One of the rescuers said the baby was terrified and crying but did not have a fever.
Several people have been declared missing while the death toll has been put at 27 so far following the flood disaster.
