Some Police personnel were alleged to have quizzed Senate President Bukola Saraki on Thursday in his office over his alleged involvement in the April 5, 2018, Offa Robbery.
Men of the force were said to have arrived the senator’s office at about 1.40pm yesterday and were said to have interrogated him over the alleged report that implicated him in the robbery.
Saraki’s Media Adviser, Yusuph Olaniyonu confirmed to THISDAY that the senate president was indeed questioned about his involvement in the crime. He stated that Saraki used the opportunity to reiterate the earlier stand of his innocence on the allegation or any other criminality.
The Police had on Tuesday in a letter signed by the Inspector General of Police invited Saraki to report on Tuesday at Guzape police station in Abuja but he declined the invitation.
