The woman in the photo is the only person who can actually and honestly give an assessment of what actually transpired in private at the Trump/Putin summit held on July 16, in Helsinki, Finland.
Marina Gross works as an interpreter with the State Department. She has been an interpreter for years and even went to Sochi with former First Lady Laura Bush back in 2008.
Following the outrage that greeted Donald Trump’s press briefing with Vladimir Putin after the summit, there have been calls to subpoena Marina to testify under oath at the US Congress to determine what transpired between the two leaders. This will most likely meet a brick wall from the Whitehouse if it ever pulls through.
Trump had thrown the outcome of the investigation under the bus when he defended Putin of not meddling in the elections. Investigators found several Russian Intelligence officers guilty of meddling in the election and made the outcome known just one day before the summit held. These officers are so highly placed that it was impossible for Putin not to be aware.
The US leader said he did not believe Russia meddled in the election, an action most Americans are calling treasonous including his own party members.
