Rapper DMX Ordered To Pay $2.3m In Tax Evasion Case
A judge has ordered rapper  Earl Simmons also known as DMX  to pay the sum of $2.3 million  in his tax evasion case brought against him by Federal prosecutors.

 



Prosecutors say the rapper owed $1.7 million in unpaid taxes as he failed to pay his taxes  between the year 2002 and 2005.He is also accused of failing to pay his tax between the year 2010 and 2015 where he had an income of $2.3 million.

A five-year jail term was been sought by prosecutors but DMX’S attorney pleaded for mercy sighting his rough childhood and struggles the rapper has been through.


The judge additional sentenced the rapper to a one -year jail term to be served at the Danbury Federal Correctional Facility.He is also to partcipate in an outpatient mental programme as well as an outpatient substance abuse programme.

The 47-year old rapper who was abadoned by his parents a  young age spent most of his childhood at institutions, has fiften children from nine different women.

He has been arrested over 39 times and was first arrested at the age of 15.
