A young woman has been left fighting for her life after being crushed by a pallet of bricks which fell off a five-storey-high crane, at about 9.30 am, in East London on Tuesday, March 27.
Bricks were seen scattered around as the young woman laid on the pavement while bystanders administered first aid close to a building site in Mile End, East London.
Police and emergency aid workers were called about 9.38 am to the site of the incident.
Scotland Yard police spokesperson said they are working with Health and Saftey Officials who are investigating the incident to determine the remote cause and will make more information available as soon as the investigation is concluded.
The woman who has not been named remains in a critical condition in the hospital.
