Anthony Weiner, Former New York congressman was yesterday sentenced to 21 months in prison with three years probation for sexting messages and photos to a 15-year-old girl.
Weiner cried as U.S. District Judge Denise Cote addressed him, saying his crime is a serious crime that deserves serious punishment. After she handed down the sentence, Weiner, sobbed more with his face in his left hand.

The U.S. Attorney’s office in a statement r said former Congressman and candidate for Mayor, Anthony Weiner told a girl who he knew to be a minor to display her nakedness and engage in sexually explicit behavior for his pleasure online. That type of behavior requires prison time and Anthony received the appropriate punishment for his actions.
Weiner and the teenager participated in three video chat sessions on Skype between Feb. 17 and 23, 2016, and it was made clear by the minor that she was just 15 years old, but that did not stop Weiner, prosecutors say.
During the next two Skype sessions, and in a Snapchat communication on March 9, 2016, Weiner is said to have used graphic and obscene language to ask the Victim to display her naked body and touch herself, which she did.He also told her what he would do to her if she were 18.
Before his sentencing, Weiner shed tears while reading a written statement, which said in part, that he was a very sick man for a long time.
Weiner had resigned his congressional seat in June 2011 after his first and his second sexting scandal broke in 2013.
He was married to Human Abedin, a top aide to former presidential candidate Hilary Clinton.
